Milani Retro Glam & Fantastical Plumage Collections!

Press Sample

Good morning, readers! I have a super picture heavy post for you today! Milani is coming out with two new Limited Edition collections next month and I have both to review for you today!

Let's start with the Retro Glam Collection first!

I've created two looks with this collection, and also have macro shots of each polish so you can have a closer look.

Both looks have gradient accent nails topped with the JewelFX glitter topper, Sprinkles. They made such gorgeous color pairings in this collection, I just couldn't help but gradient them. They look awesome together!

This pink mani uses Strawberry Shake on the index, Raspberry Delight on the pinky, and a gradient of the two topped with Sprinkles on the middle and ring fingers.

This green mani uses Creamy Pistachio on the index finger, Almond Bliss on the ring finger, Mint Chip on the pinky, and a gradient of all three topped with Sprinkles on the middle finger.

Strawberry Shake is a light pink with subtle shimmer. It applied easily and I used three coats with top coat for the photo below. Two coats may work for you, it just depends on how think you apply them.

Raspberry Delight is a darker pink than Strawberry Shake and also has a subtle shimmer. This had great coverage and was very pigmented. I'm showing 3 coats with top coat below. Again, it just depends on how thick you apply the coats. I love this color!

Sprinkles is a black and white glitter topper in a clear base. It has different shapes and sizes of both colors and applied surprisingly well! I didn't have to fish out glitters or dab them in place at all. Showing one coat over both gradient nails below with top coat. This looks great over every color!

Mint Chip is the darker of the two greens in this collection. No shimmer in this one. No application issues to report. Showing two coats below with top coat.

Creamy Pistachio is the lighter of the two greens. I'm also showing 2 coats with top coat. It applied easily and it is a creme with no shimmer.

Almond Bliss is the final polish in this collection. It's a gorgeous off white creme color and it's very wearable compared to stark white creme polishes. I used three coats for full coverage with top coat. No application issues.

Now, it's time for the Fantastical Plumage Collection!

I've created two looks using the collection. The creme colors in the Fantastical Plumage Collection are perfect for Parrot feathers so that's what I did on my accent nails. They look awesome together!

This first mani features two parrot feather accent nails paired with Scarlet Ibis on my index finger and Canary on the pinky.

This second look pairs the same parrot feather accent nail on my middle finger topped with the Jewel FX glitter topper, Carnival. Peacock is on my index finger, Purple Martin on my ring finger, and Blue Jay on my pinky.

Scarlet Ibis is an orange red with subtle shimmer. This was highly pigmented. It could be a one coater but I've done two here with top coat. No issues to report.

Canary is a yellow with subtle shimmer. It did need three coats to full coverage so that's what I'm showing below with top coat.

Peacock is a pretty light blue creme. I did three coats with top coat below. No issues to report. It does seem similar to some other blues in my collection so look for a comparison post sometime this week.

Purple Martin is the last color with subtle shimmer in this collection. A pretty medium purple, I'm showing two coats below with top coat. No issues to report. It's a tad lighter and less blue toned than my photos show.

Blue Jay is the winner of this collection for me. A gorgeous blurple color that is highly pigmented. Could be a one coater but I've done two below with top coat. It's a bit lighter and more purple toned than my photos show.

Carnival is the final polish in this collection. it is another black and white glitter topper in a clear base. The glitters are bigger and harder to get on the nail in this base. I had to dab some on and they were sliding toward the tip when I would apply. I'm showing one dabbed coat with top coat over the parrot feather accent nail below.
